So, the process of writing minibooks is straightforward.
I go into Gemini and write this prompt:
“Write a 2,500-word ebook about this and that.”
It writes books very fast, but sometimes they’re under the word count, so I ask it to expand by specifying the exact word count it produced.
Then it expands.
After that, I go into GIMP and make a 1600×2560 px cover in my own style. I don’t generate covers with AI—I tried a few, but the image generation isn’t great yet. You usually have to resize and redo most of it.
So, I place the book title in the center, add a layer with some color, then move the background layer up and resize it to 1500×2400 px, and save it as a JPG.
After I’m done with those two steps, I go to ChatGPT and paste in the book, asking for a minibook description, categories, and 7 keywords.
Then I go to KDP and enter everything manually (not copy-paste), because you can’t paste categories.
Anyway, I fill everything in and submit it with DRM enabled and enroll it in Kindle Select (or whatever it’s called).
I set the price to $0.99 and hope it gets approved.
So far, all of my minibooks have been approved.
Although some of my minibooks are written manually.
