Is it worth writing Kindle books as an indie writer

Most writers on Kindle make little to no money, I have 118 minibooks and most of those books don’t get ANY sales, just few books sell and if I sell 5 ebooks a month in total from all the catalog – it’s a good month.

Kindle is over saturated with books, if you want your work to be actually read then give it away for free via a blog, otherwise you will be making 0.00€.

Sure, I didn’t do marketing and my packaging is simple.

But as a platform to just put books for sale, it’s good, but the result isn’t guaranteed. Amazon doesn’t market your book unless you have tons of reviews, or buy ads.

Free will always get more reads than paid. If you believe making few euros a month is fair, then go ahead.

When you see some writers claiming they make like 5 figures from Kindle alone, these are the rare exceptions. Most Kindle writers make nothing as they don’t have raving fans or buyers.
