When you write a new blog post it takes around few weeks to a month to be indexed via search engines, then it takes time until it is ranked, because rank depends not on content but on click through rate.

If people click a lot it moves up in ranking, if people click less it moves down the ranking.

Since there’s always new content coming in your article is always being ranked up and down.

So, ideally you want to give your blog enough time to be discovered, indexed and ranked.

A year or so. Ideally. If you want to make money blogging you should give your blog 10 years or so. Because blogging is a marathon and not a sprint.
