In one word: experience.
The more experience a person has, the more wiser he or she becomes.
We all get some experience, but some people just are designed for more experience.
If you won’t encounter the world, you won’t have a lot of experience.
There can’t be someone wise without experience as theoretical wisdom is not practical wisdom.
Consciousness is just a experience, if a machine can truly experience (which we will never know, as we don’t know that other people experience).
It’s very unlikely that machines can become conscious. Since consciousness is chemical, not technical. But if people create such machines, I am in for it.
You can’t understand your life, and you think about understanding life in general.

Life matters to humans because they are experiencing it. Everyone wants a good life, although any life is better than no life.
Today humans want to extend life to the stars, I wonder when it will happen.
But since the universe is indifferent, life only matters to humans, not the universe. If life mattered to the universe there would be more living planets.
