Nobody really has rights, as rights are created by people for people and since people are animals also, so yes – animals have rights.

But most rights for animals, is created for humans.

If we create laws for animals, then animals will have rights and laws, but in the animal kingdom (apart from humans) there are no rights and never will be since rights can be only created by somewhat intelligent creatures.
